Office Bearers & Committees

Six Office Bearers elected each March, an Executive Committee of fourteen with the BMCF Chairman and Secretary sitting ex officio, and six sub-committees. Everything here is term-scoped — past committees are kept on record rather than replaced.

The Executive Committee may form sub-committees as needed. These are the ones the Zawlbuk constitutes by name.

    Treasurer — may be appointed where needed.

    The Convener, Secretary, Treasurer and five Committee members are appointed by the BMA Executive Committee, and where it sees the need it may appoint no more than five further committee members.

Appointed by the Executive Committee to produce Chhinlung, the association's magazine, and BMA Aw, its weekly bulletin.

    What BMA Aw publishes is to be checked carefully by the Editor. Nothing that could damage unity, and nothing of the kind that attacks a person, is to be published; and bad language is not to be used.

BMA Media Team

Appointed by the Executive Committee to look after BMA's social media — the channels through which most members now hear the association's news.

Mizoram House

Not named in the Danbu

Formed by the Executive Committee for the 2026–27 term. Constitution 6.2.5 lets the EC create sub-committees as needed, so this one is properly constituted — it simply post-dates the 2022 Danbu, which names only the three standing committees, the Editorial Board and the Media Team.

Sub-committees are always short of hands, especially around Vangpui Kut. To stand for office you need a year in Bangalore and a year on the Executive Committee — so the Executive Committee is where it starts.
