BMA divides Bangalore into four Sections, each named after a Mizo figure, with Lalzova Section covering Mysore and Mandya. Between them the Danbu names 219 areas of the city.

BMA was founded as an association to look to the unity, the working together and the progress of the Mizo in Bangalore — rejoicing with those who rejoice, helping the unwell and those who meet hardship, and carrying Zonunmâwi. Because Bangalore is a very large city, and so that we might look after one another the better, the city is divided into 4 Sections. Mysore and Mandya are placed in one Section besides. So within BMA's compass there are 5 Sections.

BMA divides the city into four Sections, each named after a Mizo figure, with Lalzova Section covering Mysore and Mandya. Your Section is the one that reaches you first — when there is a bereavement, when someone is ill, when you are new and know nobody.

They decide and plan how work is to be carried out within their Section's area.

The Secretary keeps the record book of the members within their Section's area.

They help those within their Section who are unwell or in need of help, and where needed they inform BMA's leaders.

Where there is a death within their Section, or a death among a member's family (mother and father, siblings, and those of the household they live with), they act as needed — and inform BMA's leaders at once.

North-West
Lalsangzuali Sailo Section
The largest Section by area — the whole north and north-west of the city, from Yelahanka down through Malleswaram and Rajajinagar, plus the old cantonment neighbourhoods around Cox Town and Ulsoor.
