Who may join, what standing they hold, and what the association does for its members. Chapter III of the constitution sets it out in six clauses.
3.1
Who can be a member
Membership is drawn more widely than you might expect — it follows the family, not just the person.

Mizo living in Bangalore.

Anyone living in Bangalore whose husband or wife is Mizo, or whose mother or father is Mizo, may be a member.

Those living around Bangalore may also be ‘Non-Residential members’, on the terms set out in 3.1.1 and 3.1.2.
3.2
Standing and fees
The Executive Committee sets both the Membership Fee and the annual Renewal Fee — the constitution deliberately leaves the amounts to them.

From the age of 15 a Membership Fee is paid, and a Renewal Fee every year. The Executive Committee fixes both amounts. Below 15 no Membership Fee is paid — and there is no vote in elections.
Senior Member

A Mizo living in Bangalore who is 60 or over and has lived here at least 10 years may be given BMA Senior Member standing for as long as they remain in Bangalore, and need not pay the membership fee.

Awaiting content. The Danbu leaves both amounts to the Executive Committee, so they are not printed in it. BMA must supply the current figures before this page can launch.
Mizo is the text. The Mizo on this page is transcribed from the printed Danbu and is what counts. The English beneath it is a working translation written for this website — it has no standing of its own, and where the two disagree, the Mizo wins.
A note on voting. Membership begins at 15, and so does the vote. Below 15 there is no fee — and no vote in elections. 3.2.1
